Our School

 

Woodland Grange opened in August 1991 and is situated on the Grange Farm housing development just off the A6. The school, which was built for 240 children in the 4 - 10 age-range at present accommodates 400 having been extended twice.

 

The main building, which is of open plan design, comprises eight class areas, a library, computer suite, reprographics/TA’s room and administration wing.  The ‘new’ building, which opened in 2001 comprises three classrooms of semi-open plan design, a studio and teachers work room. Our hall opened in September 2002 and is situated in a free standing complex at the back of the school, which also accommodates the kitchen, P.E. store and cloakroom facilities.

 

Additionally we have seven mobile classrooms.

 

The class structure in January 2010 will be:

Year 5   -  2 classes

Year 4   -  2 classes

Year 3   -  2 classes

Year 2   -  3 classes

Year 1   -  2 classes

Reception – 3 classes (the third being formed in January 2010)
